This is what I owe ~Ja-Nin from long past contest. It was meant to be a sketch, but after such a long time... Well, basically it is a picture I've been learning quite a lot about digital painting on. I've been doing it for a long, long, loooong time. I just can't look at it anymore. I know there are plenty of things wrong with it... But hey, it was supposed to be a sketch ;P

Few things:

No, this is not how I imagine Hitsugaya, nor how I want him to look. But believe me, after repainting it over 10 times I am NOT going to repaint it again. I am NOT satisfied, but I prefer to do new things to repainting the same picture for the rest of my life.

I know I still owe a picture to ~Aziell, *washuuchan and *ellizjum ; you'll get them (although as for Ell I have no idea what Oo)

[Edit] I said "no changes"? Uh, I was wrong, slight meddling included...

wow... you DID finish... now, i'm impressed. seriously.

although, what with such strong shades on the fase, the back part of the hair seems to be too light.

I finished just so I can move on... Damn, I have to finish SOME things in my lifetime XD

I know; actually I'm totally dissatisfied with the hair. Damn all those characters with white hair! >.<

khem. guess you misunderstood me. i'm certainly NOT impressed by the fact you finished; that was most predictable. what i AM impressed by is the effect.

it's not even the trouble with them being white; although i can understand your frustration... it's more like - the shading seems too, i dunno, smooth for what kind of light the shading of the face implies. there should be deeper shades and stronger highlights, to my mind. but i'm impressed nevertheless :]

Oh... :O_o: Well, I am impressed by the fact that I finished ^^;

I know, I see the problem myself; what I ment is that it's more difficult to shade white hair and make them still appear white... And I'm not good with digital hair at all, so this additional issue of them being white kills me XD I MAY retouch them some time later... MUCH later...

Thank you :) I like it very much, exept his lips... I think they're too dark... and shape is wierd too...
And if you wanted a relistic effect, his eyes are too big, but I suppose you spotted that :D :P
um... I like your style of skin colouring, but it changed and it's more smooth now :)

About white hair - my Shae has brown, but I want her to have white hair, you'll see this on my pics... she has both on different drawings :D (well, she should has hair like this because she has problems with her past life - and I mean a real past life, as a other woman :D - problems which gives her a lot of stress :D. As a matter of fact she lives in a real hell :XD:)

Hmm, lips are actually referenced... I wanted to make different than usual... But I don't really like them anyway ^^;
Ah, my dear, I think I'll ALWAYS be making to big eyes ;P

Heh, I also have my own character with white hair ^^; They're too tempting not to be used... But I'm not to keen on painting them (yet :P ) (Hmm, are you cruel to your own character?)

Well now -- this rocks hard! Really!! I've seen you trying the dp stuff, but this is an amazing outcome. Way to go pink one!

The face is great, the only thing I could seriousely bitch about is that the shaddowing of the hair makes it look as if the person had only little pieces of hair standing, not the whole thing.

One thing that struck me -- the face has no sex :) Seriousely -- the lips and nose and chin make it a 'she', but the jaw line and eyes a 'he'.

Yes, I know about the hair, I'll try to correct it in next pictures :)
